The design of this shelf is encompassed within the project of Cafebrería Esmorga. It was created as a space for the enjoyment of the book, the reading and the reader.

 

The shelf was developed following the same design criteria as in the bookstore design; One of the premises to follow was the comfort of its users, it was conceived looking for proper ergonomics in terms of visual placement of books and a convenient storage area.

 

The spaces in the Cafebrería Esmorga are divided into two major groups, one would be the areas for the information and circulation (spaces servers) and the second set would be the areas for the enjoyment of the book (search, reading, watching ...) (served spaces). The same separation will be set in our furniture: the information is placed on one side, and the space for books are the central zones differentiating information and content clearly.

 

The materials used and the assembling intend to give a feeling of freedom to the furniture. The Tramex try to imitate the game of transparency that arises throughout the building, generating a sense of freedom in the space, not limiting "visually" the furnished areas at all levels.
